New Orleans, LA -- The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference named senior guard Meaquell Lewis to the 2008-2009 Pre-season All-Conference Team, chosen by league head coaches on October 22.
Lewis, a native of Plaquemines, LA, is the second leading scorer and a two-year starter for the Lady Blue Devils. Lewis averaged 11.3 points and 2.6 assists for the 2007-2008 season. She was also ranked 10th in the Conference for assists and tied for 10th in the Conference for steals.
"She is expected to have a break out season, and she will help lead our team to many victories," said Dillard Lady Blue Devils Head Coach, Kiki Baker Barnes.
Look out for the Lady Blue Devils, who kicked off their 2008-2009 season against Talladega College on October 30.
